Ceratophyllum demersum
Commonly known as coontail or hornwort, is a fast-growing submerged aquatic plant that provides exceptional underwater habitat and cover for fish. Its dense, free-floating growth helps absorb excess nutrients, improve water clarity, and compete with nuisance algae in ponds and lakes. This plant does NOT produce roots, therefore it's only available as bare root.

Bare-root and submerged species are carefully packed in moist newspaper and sealed in plastic bags to maintain hydration during transit. Potted plants and plugs are shipped in protective plastic bags to keep soil contained and plants secure.
